March 28th, 2010 Good Stuff

*I had a day off of work finally.....

*I had a therapy session that was a lot of fun today! The reason why it was fun is that I got to break out the crayons for the first time and did a really fun activity that went over better than I had planned. Which is always a good thing.

*I slept a lot

*I had my first crawfish of the season :D I went to eat with Megan, Shane and some guy I don't know after the counseling session at a great little seafood restaurant and was very happy find crawfish at a somewhat reasonable price. We talked music over lunch which is always a great topic to me :D

*I started my first Dorothy Sayers book today and OMG I'm in love with it!!! And from what I've heard from reviews of it, it's one of the "worst" of her books. So if this is supposedly one of her worst, damn I can't wait to see what her best is like!

Now if I can shake this three day headache, I'll be fine :/

  1. 3-day headache?? Oh no! I hope it goes away soon! :(

But all the rest sounds like such good stuff. I have to admit, I'm scared of Dorothy Sayers. I'm just not sure if she writes the types of books that I'd like. :/ But I know Ana praises her highly and hearing your praise on top of it...maybe one day I'll just have to bite the bullet and try her.

  2. Oh sweetie, I sure hope that head starts feeling better soon!!!! I'm on the second day of one here...but mine's more of a face ache (you know, sinus-y type thing). I'll gladly keep mine for another week if yours will just take a hike immediately! *hugs*

The therapy session sounds like it was awesome! :D

And which Sayers book are you reading? I have Strong Poison sitting on the shelf right here beside me...it taunts me endlessly as I want to start it soooooo badly. But I have made myself promise--I absolutely *must* finish up these books I have going before starting something else. And after your review, I'm now positively craving Enchanted Night, too! *sigh* Sooooo much good reading out there awaiting us all, isn't there?

  7. Amanda, It wented away! It wented away!! I'm feeling much better today, thank you :) Don't be scared of Dorothy Sayers...I'll admit I was scared to death of her too. Honestly, I'm just scared of mysteries. I've never really read them before. But she is so readable and this book is just so wonderful so far! The dialogue is wonderful, the story is captivating...everything works so well.

Debi, Oh no :( I hope your sinus thing goes away soon :( Those are worse than migraines sometimes because your whole damn face hurts. And it feels like you have a toothache sometimes. My headache is gone though! Thanks :) I'm reading Whose Body? And it's really good! The series freak that I am, I have to start from the beginning, lol. Oh, you're going to like Enchanted Night so much :D I just know it!

Deslily, Yep! My headache is gone :D Sorry I haven't been too upbeat lately :( I'm feeling a lot better thought these past couple of days!! Hopefully it continues for a little while!!

Vivienne, The headache is gone now!! Dorothy Sayers is incredible!!! You really should get to her soon :D

Nymeth, Yay Sayers indeed :D She's so fantastic!! The headache is GONE!

Kailana, You totally need to try them!! They're fantastic :D

  8. Mmmmm, crawfish. Of course we don't get the good stuff that you guys do but we're hoping to maybe import some and have a crawfish boil at the house. Well, that's what we say anyway. Hope by now that pesky headache has gone away.
